I think I can already buy ticket from the counter, but it can't. Hence, I had to go to Pulogadung Terminal for homecoming
Seven days ahead of Eid ul Fitr, the Pulogebang Terminal, East Jakarta, is still deserted from homecomers. In terminal, there are five otobus companies operating some fleets, but only four ticket counters opened and are still empty from officers.
Those otobus companies are Pahala Kencana, Kramadjati, Sinar Jaya, Lorena, and Laju Prima. But only some of them have counter, like Sinar Jaya, Kramatdjati, Pahala Kencana, and Laju Prima. While the Lorena plans to open it today.
Pasar Minggu Terminal Still Quiet from HomecomersBased on the information in the field, the four counters are still empty and no officers. This is obviously confusing the homecomers in Pulogebang Terminal. As a result, they had to wait in terminal until the counters opened because they were reportedly to be opened in afternoon. Yet some homecomers decided to leave terminal and go to Pulogadung Terminal.
As experienced by Budiman (47), one of homecomers admitted he was disappointed due to terminal management has yet to operate the counters. "I think I can already buy ticket from the counter, but it can't. Hence, I had to go to Pulogadung Terminal for homecoming," expressed Budiman who will go to Purwokerto, Central Jakarta, Monday (7/21).
Responding on this matter, Head of Pulogebang Terminal Technical Management Unit, Tiodor Sianturi stated his party has instructed five otobus companies to order their officers open the counters soon. Nevertheless, he still understand the attitude of the company owners that still monitor the homecoming situation at the terminal.
"By so, the homecomers can flock to terminal for homecoming," he expressed.
To serve homecomers to Pulogebang Terminal, there have been some public transports available in terminal, such as KWK T29 (Pulogebang-Pulogadung), KWK T03 (Rawamangun-Pulogebang) and Transjakarta bus at corridor XI (Kampung Melayu-Pulogebang).
On the other hand, the amount of homecomers at Kampung Rambutan Terminal, East Jakarta, already begun to increase. Although the data has not been received as a whole, yet its amount is predicted to increase by 25 percent compared to regular days. Recorded on Sunday (7/20), as many as 3,937 passengers who departed from terminal using 492 AKAP buses. Earlier on Saturday (7/19, there were only 3,239 passengers, who carried by 503 fleets. the report is divided into three shifts, starting at 8 AM-2PM, 2 PM-8 PM, and 8 PM-8 AM.
According to Dwi Basuki, Head of Kampung Rambutan AKAP Terminal predicts the amount of homecomers will keep increasing every day and its peak to happen on 3-4 days before Eid ul Fitr. This is because many employees get day off recently. Additionally, the collapsed Comal Bridge in Pemalang, Central Java, also affect the amount of homecomers. They wait for the bridge to be repaired first which is predicted to finish on Thursday.
"Today, I predict the amount of homecomers will increase to 25 percent compared to regular days. Incoming data until 2 PM, homecomers departing from terminal has reached 1,057 people using 151 fleets. It will certainly grow up to the night and the morning," he expressed.
